Doh-A-Deer music, movement and singing sessions are for groups of young children aged 1-4.
Sessions develop musical skills, confidence and social skills through singing, movement, playing percussion instruments and having lots of fun with puppets, ribbons, scarves and circle activities. Most importantly Doh-A-Deer sessions foster the joy of singing and music.
Sessions are led by Jane Watts, a qualified primary school teacher. Jane’s belief in the life-long impact of early years singing and music underpins all Doh-A-Deer sessions.
- Singing, movement and music helps develop children’s language and listening skills, memory and motor development.
- In coming together to sing and make music, children not only have fun but also become more socially engaged with others – helping preparation for nursery or primary school.
- Parents/carers also benefit as they leave the Doh-A-Deer sessions with plenty of ideas for music and singing activities for use together with their children at home having had a relaxed, fun and stimulating experience with their child.
